Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame
This global crisis’ unwanted season of change might leave you feeling stuck between where you have been and where you are going. It seems overwhelming and devastating, and sometimes surreal. A lot depends on where you are looking for strength and direction. Today, many are only looking for sustainable medical, economic, socio-economic and educational breakthroughs, but the psalmist encourages us to look to the Lord.
Looking to Him involves:
Longing for the familiar and what has been left behind. If you are discouraged, look back and see how you have grown. You may not be what you want to or ought to be, but thank God you are not what you were! How He has transformed your inner life and changed you! What lies behind us pales in comparison to what He has in store for us.
We only get one shot at today, at life, and how best we should live it! Submit to His leading us away from distractions not intended for us during this season. He wants our attention on Him: Eyes up, hearts open, moving forward in His plan. He is doing a new thing in you and I. Rest in the sturdy hands of our Father, listen for His voice and trust His timing.
Look ahead – a new day is coming. The Lord is at work. We are not heading for darkness and despair. We are assured of victory in Christ. Our lives have seemingly taken a detour, our planned destination derailed, leaving us unsure, or even afraid, of what the future may hold. As believers we can be confident that even confusing circumstances are being sovereignly orchestrated for the purpose of maturing us in a Christ-glorifying manner. Evil may appear to flourish for a time, but the Lord has established its boundaries and will ultimately use it for the advancement of His purposes. Look to Him and be radiant!
